Per the Daily Mail, City are braced for a bid from Forest to sign McAtee this summer, after they agreed to sell Gibbs-White to Spurs. The north London club have triggered the 英格蘭 international’s £60m ($81m) release clause, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are ready to pay £25m for McAtee.
The 22-year-old, who captained England Under-21s to 歐洲錦標賽 glory in the summer, has only made 18 英超聯賽 appearances since making his debut in 2021. With just one year left on his deal, suitors are circling, and Forest face competition from across Europe; 佛羅倫斯 和 多特蒙德 are also said to hold an interest.
McAtee is one of a couple of options for Forest, as the club are also considering a swoop to sign 布倫特福德 striker Yoane Wissa. They have made a bid for the forward, but have not met the Bees’ valuation.
Gibbs-White is set to complete his move to 托特納姆熱刺 on Friday. Forest will then aim to source a replacement.
