EFL clubs across 英格蘭 paid tribute to the Lionesses following their Euro 2025 success. Chloe Kelly went to her first club and local side Queens Park 流浪者隊 in west London, Hannah Hampton returned to her beloved 西布羅姆維奇, Niamh Charles was back on Merseyside at Tranmere Rovers and Lauren Hemp attended 諾維奇 City’s game.
The Lionesses returned from 瑞士 to England a fortnight ago to rapturous scenes at Southend Airport, where hundreds of fans gathered to welcome them. The celebrations continued with a Downing Street reception hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, where the squad gifted a signed England shirt. An open-top bus parade and a procession along The Mall was also part of the festivities.
The Lionesses’ triumph in 巴塞爾 has cemented their place in history as the first English team to win a major trophy abroad. Attention will soon turn to preparations for the 2027 世界盃 qualifiers.
