Caicedo took just a couple of days to recover from the problem that he suffered against the Brazilian outfit in the semi-finals, as he resumed training on Thursday, and according to 法布里齊奧·羅馬諾 he is ‘ready to play’. Blues boss Maresca confirmed that while the midfielder could not complete the full session, he remained hopeful of the player’s availability in the all-important clash on Sunday.
Caicedo has featured in 切爾西‘s starting line-up in four of their six outings in the Club 世界盃. The west London side’s hopes of countering PSG’s dominant midfield rest heavily on Caicedo’s fitness and thus his return to action comes as a huge boost for the club.
Speaking to reporters, the Italian coach said: “Yes, for sure Moises is such an important player for us. This morning he couldn’t take part in the training session fully but we hope he can take part on Sunday.”
