Bayern Munich's sporting director has hinted at the Bundesliga side's pursuit of Chelsea outcast Nicolas Jackson, with personal terms agreed.

Christoph Freund neither confirmed nor denied that the side were seeking a move for outcast Jackson. There have been reports which suggest that the Bavarian giants have reached a personal agreement with Jackson, with talks set to be opened with the Blues.

Jackson has fallen out of favour under Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, with the Club winners reinforcing the No.9 position by signing Joao Pedro and Liam Delap. The Senegalese international has been linked with numerous teams over the past few months, including , Napoli, Newcastle , , and Tottenham Hotspur. What’s more, Maresca even dropped the ex- frontman from the squad for last weekend’s clash against . Chelsea’s large asking price has proved to be a major stumbling block in the club’s efforts to offload the player and generate some funds. Bayern, though, are now set to open talks with the English outfit over a loan deal. This comes after Die Roten sporting director Max Eberl asserted that Jackson was not on their radar.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Freund said: “I’m not denying anything. There are a lot of names floating around. The transfer window is open until next Monday, and anything can still happen before then.”

Vincent Kompany’s troops will take on third-tier side Wehen Wiesbaden in the first round of the on Wednesday, August 28, at the BRITA-Arena, followed by a league encounter against Augsburg on Saturday.
