Wrexham have witnessed a major change in their fortunes since Hollywood actor duo Reynolds and McElhenney took charge of the club in 2021. Now, ahead of competing in the English second-tier, Wrexham chief Williamson revealed the club’s ambitions for the 2025-26 campaign and at what point in the season their rivals should start worrying about them.

Because I believe if we make the playoffs with the type of mentality that we have, anything can happen in 90 minutes. I really would give ourselves a strong shot of giving it a run.”

Wrexham will kick off the Championship 2025-26 season with their opening match scheduled on August 9 against Southampton.
