- Barcelona interested in Villareal striker Eyong
- He has a release clause of €10 million
- Betis is also intersted in the striker
De acuerdo a Mundo Deportivo Villarreal‘s Eyong has a release clause of up to €10 million (£9m/$11m)attracting interest from Betis and Barcelona. The Catalan club could snap him up and sending him on loan, though their registration troubles could derail their effort.
Eyong netted 19 goals and six assists last season with Villarreal B in the Primera Federación and has already made an impact with the first team in their strong start to the2025-26 season, scoring and setting up a goal each in their first two La Liga games. However if Villareal complete the signing of Artem Dovbyk from Roma, it could mean less gametime for Eyong, which could hamper his development.
Barcelona have been struggling with registration issues since the start of the window. After registering Joan Garcia and Marcus Rashford, they are finally set to add Wojciech Szczesny to their squad with Inaki Pena to be loaned out, while Gerard Martin’s registration remains unclear. Another new signing, Roony Bardghji, could even be loaned back to Copenhagen if they cannot register him.
Eyong will be eager to see his future settled quickly as he looks to build on his strong start to the season with more minutes. Barcelona, meanwhile, will focus on resolving their registration problems and working towards financial stability.
