وفق الرياضي Bayern’s first official bid worth £59 million ($78.8m) for Diaz has been rejected by the English champions. Liverpool value the كولومبيا international at over €100m and have no plans to sell him in the current transfer window.
The 28-year-old had a stellar 2024-25 campaign with the Reds as he scored 13 goals in 36 appearances to help the club win the الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز for the second time. Diaz initially moved to Anfield in January 2022 from نادي بورتو for a fee of £37.5m, with the deal potentially rising to £50m with add-ons.
Bayern are also keeping their options open in case the Diaz transfer does not materialise. They had earlier targeted أرسنال‘s Leandro Trossard and are now eyeing a move for the Belgian’s team-mate غابرييل Martinelli.
With the hope that Diaz will stay put for at least another year, Slot is now looking to sign a new No.9 and the club have reportedly prepared a five-man shortlist of targets, which includes Newcastle star Alexander Isak.
