Guehi, however, will not force a move out of Palace and will allow the two clubs to sort out the transfer fee. He made a brief appearance for the Eagles in a pre-season friendly game against ميلوول behind closed doors on Friday, and Liverpool have made a final offer for the star.
Earlier reports suggested that Liverpool could consider including young defender Ben Doak in a swap deal to sign Guehi, but Palace reportedly will only deal in cash, as they too need to sign replacements and need money in the bank. Oliver Glasner’s first choice is نادي سبورتينغ لشبونة‘s Ousmane Diomande, but the defender’s valuation is again in the £40m region.
Guehi appeared in 44 matches across all competitions in the 2024-25 campaign and had five goal contributions to his name. He also successfully led the club to FA Cup triumph, beating مانشستر سيتي in the final.
The reigning English champions will play their first pre-season friendly against بريستون on Sunday before heading to Hong Kong and اليابان.
